Pastor - Reverend Julia Piper

Pastor Julia and her husband, Jeff, have been married for over 30 years. They have two young adult biological children, Jayme and Jason. They also have a foster son, James. They enjoy spending time together as a family, playing board games and camping.
Pastor Julia is a on her second career. Her call to ministry developed when she was eight years old. She worked 17 years as a Coding Specialist at the Chambersburg Hospital before she started in full-time ministry. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Lock Haven University and then went on to Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. where she received her Master of Divinity Degree in 2010. Pastor Julia is an Elder in the Susquehanna United Methodist Conference. She is amazed at how God has worked in her life. She looks forward to this new chapter as she begins her service at Juniata United Methodist Church.
Pastor Julia previous served the communities of Allenport (Mt. Union), Shirleysburg, and Singer’s Gap.
Service to the District and Conference:
She serves on the District Committee on Ministry of the Altoona District and on the Board of Ordained Ministry for the Susquehanna United Methodist Conference. She also serves as the Elder’s Registrar.
