Meet our Pastor and Staff

Pastor Michelle Bodle

Picture
Rev. Dr. Michelle Bodle is an ordained elder in the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church. Pastor Michelle graduated from Drew in 2011 with a Master of Divinity Degree and received certification in Spiritual Formation from Drew and the General Board of Higher Education in Ministry in 2013. She graduated with a BA in Psychology and Religion from Houghton College in 2007. She graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary in May of 2022 with a Doctorate in Ministry focused on Church Leadership.
Previously, Pastor Michelle has served Philipsburg Grace/ Morgan Run parish in Philipsburg, PA, the Roseville and Mainesburg UMCs in Mansfield, PA, and Albright-Bethune United Methodist Church in State College, Pennsylvania. Beyond the local church, she serves as the chair of the Board of Pensions and Health for the Susquehanna Annual Conference and on the Altoona District Committee on Ministry. In the community, she volunteers at PSU Altoona and Grane Hospice.
Some fun facts: Pastor Michelle lives with her chinchilla, Wesley, and Russian tortoise, Angelo. She has been a vegetarian since the age of eight. Most of her family still lives in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, where she grew up. She enjoys reading, cross-stitching, drinking tea, and being with her family in her free time.
Pastor Michelle’s passion for ministry is three-fold:
  • Spiritual formation and discipleship (caring for our own souls).
  • Reaching out to those who have cared for us (those who can no longer attend worship in person).
  • Reaching out into the community for Jesus Christ.
